Maglic Mountain

GENERAL INFORMATION

Maglić is a Dinaric mountain located on the border of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, and is also the mountain with the highest peak in BiH (2386m). The mountain is bounded by the Sutjeska river to the west, Volujak mountain to the southwest, the Drina and Piva rivers to the northeast, and the Bioč mountain to the southeast. The climb to Maglić, due to the landscapes that one passes through, is one of the most beautiful but also, due to the length of the trail and the large difference in altitude, one of the most challenging climbs. The main peak of Maglić, as well as the prominent viewpoint Mali Maglić, or simply Maglić, towers over the area of Perućica primeval forest, this unique reserve of flora and fauna, at the bottom of which lies Skakavac waterfall, which plunges from a cliff over 70 meters high in the heart of the primeval forest.

TOUR OVERVIEW

Day 1

Arrival at the "Sutjeska" camp on Tjentište in the afternoon, unpacking, and dinner. In the evening, we socialize with music in our restaurant. Our employees will present you with the schedule of activities for the next day.

Day 2

After a traditional breakfast, all participants will head to the plateau of Prijevor with our off-road vehicles, followed by a climb to the highest peak in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Maglić. The Maglić massif is beautiful and impressive from all sides. On three sides, the cliffs are very steep and impassable, while access from the southeast is easier via a long ridge. Its southeastern large rocky massif above the grassy highland Prijevor is beautiful, while its northwestern rocky cliffs literally vertically plunge on the Bosnian side. FOOD

In our restaurant, you will have the opportunity to try various specialties from our region. Delicious homemade food for which you will remember your stay in our camp is prepared daily from fresh ingredients and some of the dishes are moussaka, sarma, pies under the bell, homemade cheese and cream, lamb under the bell and many other dishes.
We also take into account the needs and requirements of our guests, so we have prepared a special menu for vegans and vegetarians. Upon arrival at our camp or when making a reservation, it is only important to mention this and our chef will make sure to let others "try a little" of your dish.

ACCOMMODATION

A total of 90 beds are distributed in accommodation units. When it comes to bungalows, we offer double, four-bed and eight-bed bungalows on two floors. The eight-bed bungalows are suitable for families and larger groups, a private bathroom is located on the first floor.
Also, the camp has six apartments with a private bathroom, which are located in the main building, above the restaurant.
